Do the changes last?
Yes, working on the fascia has a lasting effect. Rolfing can be coupled with exercises to do at home. But above all, the body awareness that you will develop during the Rolfing process will help you keep the results. |

How long are the sessions? How much does it cost?
The rolfing sessions are 75 to 90 minutes long depending on how the body responds to the session in question. I charge $100 per rolfing session. Deep tissue massage sessions are $75 for 75 minutes. Weekend and evening appointments available. |

What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is due at the time of appointment in cash or check, or through this website via the PayPal™ form found on the Bio & Information page. L&I claims and PIP claims accepted. |
|
 |
Do you take insurance?
No, I don't bill your insurance but I can provide a receipt that you can submit to them. Some health insurances will cover part of the cost that way.
BUT I do accept Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims and L&I claims (workers' compensation). |

Do I have to sign up for ten sessions right away?
You don’t have to sign on for 10 sessions. In fact it is common to commit for three and then reevaluate after three sessions to see if our relationships suits you and if you like the work. It is also possible to meet for one deep tissue massage session before doing any Rolfing, it helps me start to know your body and it allows you to see if you like my touch and the way I work. |
|
 |
What should I wear?
Usually people wear their normal underwear; briefs and bra for women (regular or sport), and briefs or boxer shorts for men. Adjustments are possible depending on your comfort level. Avoid thongs and transparent underwear for both our comforts. |

How is Rolfing different from massage therapy or chiropractic work?
- Massage therapy belongs to the first paradigm which is relaxation. It aims at relieving knots in muscles, and improving flow within the body.
- Chiropractic belongs to the second paradigm which is “fix it” work. It usually deals with specific, local, bone realignment. Yet if the soft tissue or fascia around the misaligned bone is still in tension, the bone might not stay in place as long as the soft tissue is not worked on.
- Rolfing belongs to the third paradigm which is wholism (like acupuncture, homeopathy…). It releases tensions and adhesions in the soft tissue allowing freedom of movement between the different layers of tissues and bones thus encouraging balance in your body.
